Why You'll Sometimes Find Me Recommending Products I Don't Sell

There are plenty of "experts" online who will tell you the only products worth buying are the ones they just happen to stock.

That won't be me.

If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I'm a bit different.

I didn't create Satori Beauty Collective to sell you everything under the sun. I created to help people feel better, sometimes that means recommending something on my shelves and sometimes it doesn't - I'm completely okay with that.

My loyalties aren't to a brand, they are to you.

If I genuinely believe another product will serve you better than one I stock then I will tell you.

If another company has created something exceptional they deserve recognition.

If I have used it, loved it and seen results why wouldn't I share it?

I think we've forgotten that businesses can support one another instead of competing all the time.

My bathroom isn't filled exclusively with brands from my website, there are products from other brands. Products I've researched and ones I have used long before Satori Beauty Collective ever existed.

You'll probably hear me recommend the Reviv mouthguard I have recently been using for bruxism (jaw clenching) that's helped me with jaw, neck and headache pain. The Ordinary Serum Foundation that I swear by (that only costs around $14) this would have to be one of my fave makeup hacks the coverage is great, it has fabulous light diffusing qualities and best of all it doesn't feel heavy like most foundations. I actually buy this in bulk for fear of not being able to get it, while living in NZ it was discontinued - heartbreaking! (I was reunited again in Australia).

None of this hurts my business, it builds trust.

I want this space to feel different, if I recommend something it's because I genuinely think it's brilliant.

Sometimes I'll tell you not to waste your money, or that I tried something that simply didn't live up to the hype. Because that's what I'd tell a friend.

Wellness isn't one size fits all, what transformed my skin may do little for yours. There isn't one perfect product or treatment which is why I spend more time asking questions as opposed to pushing sales.

Also why I don't have a set facial menu in my studio, I want to see your skin first and adjust what you need accordingly. If you've been wondering why I have no menu .. you're not missing anything - it's intentional. Why would I put you into a predesigned treatment?

Skin isn't just about what we put on it, there is a difference between treating skin and caring for the whole person.

I'd rather lose a sale than lose trust, my hope is you'll come back because you know I'll give you honest advice not because I sold you everything.

It's about creating a community where honest conversations matter, where there is education and celebration of great products regardless of whether they are ours or someone else's.
